Ok my fabulous readers, I need your help.
Although I've been working in online marketing / social media for years now, I still have yet to grasp on to Instagram. I have an account. I used to take pictures with it but I got sick of the limited filters/borders and I NEVER EVER shared a single photo. Now I feel like I am missing out...
Am I?
What's the appeal? I get Pinterest because I love
Maybe it's because I suck at taking pictures (note: this blog is a perfect example of that). I not only suck at remembering to take them but at actually taking them too. Or maybe it's because even though I blog and share quite a bit of my life with all of you, I still like to keep some of my life private. Who knows!
So now, I am asking you, my awesome bloggy friends, what do you love about Instagram and why do you use it? And if you leave your Instagram profile info...I'll start
And if you feel bad for me because I have 2 followers, you can always follow me too. Esp if you like dogs and sunsets! :)
Thanks!!
At first I didn't get the appeal of instagram either. But once I started using it, I started to love it. Now it's one of my favorite forms of social media. I use it as another way to promote my blog, but I also include some candids of every day life (doesn't have to be personal at all), that I normally wouldn't include on the blog. I think it helps your readers to get to know you in a different way! :)

I like Instgram because it's easy to use, and you don't have to put too much thought into it. haha You can just see something cool, take a pic, post it and be on your way! I use it to promote my blog as well. It lets my readers know that there is an actual person behind the blog! Also, since my blog is mostly organization, DIY, and recipes, it gives an inside look into what the rest of my life is like!

I just followed you on Instagram (@thetinyheart). It took me a while to get an Instagram account but I love it! I take photos of random things like my dinner, the dogs, etc and it's nice to share it with other people. :) Sometimes I use Instagram photos in blog posts.

Personally, I didn't like Instagram in the beginning, I felt it too complicated, and I simply did not get the point of it. Later my friend kind of introduced it to me, and since then I've literally become an addict, it's great for fashion inspiration, daily quotes, well basically anything.
ReplyDeleteAnd about your followers, you just got a new one! ;)

Ok, so I was wayyy late to the Instagram party. But now that I have it, I LOVE it! It's like facebook, that you are able to keep up with friends/family that you are unable to see. But, unlike reading posts you get to look at pictures.
ReplyDeleteSecond, it's a much faster way to keep up with all your blog friends. I can look through the picture roll in about 5 minutes rather than the 30-60 minutes it takes me to read & comment on all my favorite blogs.
I love Instagram but often I have the problem of forgetting to take a picture before it is too late. I'm trying hard to be better at it. I sometimes use other apps such as picfx to have different filters for Instagram. I like that it is a fast way to keep up with blog friends.
ReplyDeleteI'm following you on Instagram now.

You're missing out! It's a fun way to share all the tid bits that aren't big enough for a blog post but that you still want to share with blog buddies. When I started I had no idea what to take pictures of too -- but once you get used to taking pictures, it gets easier!
