However, as a result of a combination of an promo email I got yesterday morning and a quite a few fellow bloggers wearing some of the new ON pieces, I felt the need to actually click through the email and see what they had. Surprisingly, I filled up my shopping cart (you already know how I love to do this) and actually bought some items!
Right now ON seems to have some pretty amazing J. Crew / Madewell knockoffs and since they happened to be items I have been wanting from both of those stores, I figured I should bite the bullet and buy some things. I know the quality will not be as good, but it does feel pretty awesome to load up a shopping cart for under $100. Plus, there was a sale for 20% your entire order - sweet!
Here were my favorite of the dotted "twinsies". I got the flats, the sweater and the short sleeve top. I love the shorts but I need a new pair shorts like I need a hole in my head!
Opposite colors but still cute, right??
You have to love the price difference on these!
Ok, so the J Crew version is cuter with the bow, but I am excited to layer
the ON version under a white button up shirt!
Almost an exact match!
What are your thoughts on buying less expensive options? Do you feel you are sacrificing quality or getting a good deal??

I've also been loving Old Navy recently as well! Can't wait to see what you got!

Leopard and Lillies
They definitely have some good stuff. :)
DeleteHands down, I will always go for the cheaper version. Between weight fluctuation, and changes in trends/tastes... why spend all the extra money??
ReplyDeleteI agree! I like to try things out on the less expensive side, then if I find I love it (and feel the need to get something higher quality), I can justify the purchase. Although polka dots are somewhat classic, I would rather spend less since I am sure I will be over them sooner rather than later! :)
DeleteOld Navy has so many great options lately! I'm thinking about getting their Heart Sweater which is a dead ringer for a JCrew one :)

DeleteGreat summary! There are so many polka dot options out this season and its fabulous. I definitely go for the less expensive unless its something that I want to invest in. Old Navy here I come :)
