Striped Perfection

If you know me, you know I love stripes. My favorite combo is classic black and white. Each season, I try to find the perfect shirt in this combination and as easy as that may seem...it's not. Either the shirt is too sheer, too small, too boxy, too heavy, too light, too expensive or the white is not really a true white. I never seem to the find the perfect shirt...

...until now!

Thank you J. Crew for finally making an affordable, super cute, black and white striped top. Oh and for all of you lucky readers - it's now on sale!! (I was not one of the fortunate ones that got a deal but the shirt is so cute, it was worth the full price.)

Here's how I wore it in New York over the week. Thank goodness the shirt is a lightweight linen so it was not too heavy in the heat/humidity.

Michael Kors Watch  // Steve Madden Wedges (similar here and on sale!) // Chain Bracelets (homemade)

I loved adding orange to the mix. I try to stay away from orange and black but with the white mixed in, I felt it was not too halloweeny. And it gave me an excuse to wear my new orange lace necklace! These are selling like crazy...I already had to increase my supply! Remember, you can get one too at my Etsy store and get free shipping with the code TWINSIES.

What is your favorite stripe color combo? Do you have a favorite pattern that you get every season?

  2. stripes on top are hard for me since...I have big boobs. But I love stripes!! I don't usually wear a lot of pattern, but I notice that I gravitate towards geometric and floral. (floral is considered a pattern right?!)

    1. Floral is for sure a pattern! I love it too. Stripes are hard for most people on top but you can always find a way to include them somewhere. At least I do! :)

  5. I love the sweater and I love how you paired it with a pop of color by adding the belt and necklace and you can never go wrong with a vintage Chanel Bag.

    1. It's a great basic. It's light but could be good layered for winter.

Thanks on the necklaces! Send me an email jillj (at) classywithakick (dot) com and maybe we can work something out! ;)
