Consumed with Chevrons

Let me first clarify that I am NOT talking about Chevron the gas station. I am not consumed with them. I fear them right now...damn rising gas prices! Don't get me started!

Before I go all crazy on the current gas situation, let's chat about the fun kind of chevrons - the pattern/shape. I am completely obsessed with it; from wallpaper to pillows to dresses to jewelry. I even took a picture of a chevron pattern for the background of my phone. Totally dorky, I know..but I love it. I love the contrast and the clean lines. It's sort of like a kicked up stripe.  In fact, the pattern itself is very "classy with a kick" - don't you think?

I, personally, cannot stop buying things with chevrons. I'm even considering getting a dog bed with a chev pattern...STOP. ME. NOW!

However, for you non-obsessive, normal people, there are two chevron items that I highly recommend you check out and own for yourself...

1. For those of you that like big & bold patterns and enjoy making a statement, I suggest the Chevron Dress. I first saw this beauty on Pinterest and fell in love. Then I found this amazing Alice + Olivia version and was about to buy it when I found a fantastic deal on a black and white version from Sosie! I snapped it up right away and am currently waiting by the door for its arrival!

**I have heard that the Sosie dresses sell out quickly so if it's gone when you try to buy it, add your name to the wait list. It will be worth it!!

And for those of you who are not ready for full-on-chevron and just want a little pop to add to your outfit, I suggest the Chevron Clutch.

There are a lot of different options out there but I ended up finding the one above on Etsy at this cute little shop called {AO3 Designs}. I love shopping on Etsy for two reasons. 1. You are helping out small businesses and 2. Since most items are handmade, you don't see them everywhere and you can actually own a unique piece - I love that! Anyway, AO3 Designs has fabulous handmade clutches & purses in all kinds of patterns/colors. They make custom items for weddings or special occasions. Be sure to check them out...they make awesome gifts too!

And finally, because I am crazy, I made little tribute to the glorious chevron below. Some items I own and some I hope to own soon. Enjoy!

What are your thoughts on chevrons? Trendy or classic?
